Middlesex Farmhouse

This project was in a typical (very) old Vermont farmhouse in Middlesex. As such the kitchen area and the years of use made this space an interesting one to work in. The kitchen design for this project utilizes separated work areas necessitated by the lack of contiguous wall space. The cabinets used were semi-custom red birch with beaded panel doors and the Corian countertops were inspired by one of our showroom displays at the time. Using inset diamond sections of green in the grey backsplash and a checkerboard pattern in the actual countertop edge adds interest to this design. The owner's collection of die-cast farm equipment models can be seen through the glass doors
